USB-IF (USB Implementers Forum)
The body that defines USB standards and registers vendor IDs.
The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) is the organisation that defines USB standards and registers vendor IDs. A cable whose vendor is registered with the USB-IF and carries a certification VDO is far more likely to be genuine; a zeroed or unregistered vendor ID is one of the strongest counterfeit red flags Cablyst checks.
