Extended Power Range (EPR, 240 W)

The USB-PD tier that lifts charging from 100 W to 240 W.

Extended Power Range (EPR) is the USB Power Delivery tier that raises the ceiling from 100 W to 240 W, using voltages up to 48 V. It requires a 5 A EPR-marked cable. Without an EPR cable, charging is capped at 100 W no matter how powerful the charger is — a common reason a laptop charges slower than expected.
